Four lines, each doing something different. Prices sit on the live menu rather than here, because they move with every drop and a stale number helps nobody.
Astronauts is a flower brand, and at Evergreen it occupies two ends of the size range with nothing in between.
Two SKUs. Space Mintz in a 3.5g, and Space Slushie in a 28g. An eighth and a full ounce, no 7g or 14g bridging them.
That spread tells you who each one is for. The 3.5g is a try-it purchase. The 28g is a commitment to a strain you already know you like, at the best per-gram number on the shelf. There is no middle option here, so the decision is unusually clear cut.
An ounce is where flower pricing gets interesting, and where it gets riskiest.
Per gram, a 28g is the cheapest way to buy flower in any dispensary. The saving is real and it is substantial. What you are taking on in exchange is time. An ounce is a lot of flower, and flower degrades from the day it is packaged.
The variable that decides whether an ounce is a good buy is not the price. It is how fast you go through it and how well you store it. An ounce finished in six weeks is excellent value. The same ounce still half full at four months has lost most of the aroma you paid for, and no amount of discount fixes that.
Be honest with yourself about your pace before you buy the big jar. If you are unsure, the 3.5g of Space Mintz is the smaller mistake.
Two flower SKUs and nothing else.
Space Mintz comes as a 3.5g. Space Slushie comes as a 28g. There are no pre-rolls, no vapes, no edibles and no concentrates under this label at Evergreen.
Because the two SKUs are different strains at different sizes, you cannot try Space Slushie in a small format before buying the ounce. That is a real limitation and worth naming. If you want to sample before committing at that scale, buy the Space Mintz eighth, or look at CAM and West Coast Cure on our shelf, both of which run the same strain across several sizes.
Flower stock rotates on harvests rather than production runs. The live menu reads from our register and is the accurate answer on what is here.
Space Mintz in 3.5g and Space Slushie in 28g. Two strains, two sizes, no overlap between them.
Decide the size first, because with this brand the size decides the strain.
Wanting an ounce means buying Space Slushie. Wanting an eighth means buying Space Mintz. There is no version of this where you get to pick both variables.
Before committing to the 28g, ask to see it and ask when it was packaged. On an ounce those two questions matter more than on anything else in the case, because you will be living with the answer for months. Good flower looks frosted rather than dull and springs back rather than crumbling.
Strain family is a tendency rather than a guarantee, and the mint and slushie naming tells you more about the flavor direction than about how it will affect you. Your tolerance and your dose do most of that work.
Read the panel last, not first. Two ounces at the same THC figure can be completely different smokes.
If you buy an ounce, storage stops being optional advice and becomes the whole value proposition.
Split it. Keep a week’s worth in a small jar and leave the rest sealed and untouched. Every time you open the main container you exchange the air inside, and an ounce opened twice a day for a month ages far faster than the same ounce opened weekly.
Glass, sealed, dark, room temperature. A cupboard, not a windowsill. No fridge and no freezer, because condensation is how good flower becomes a mold problem and frozen trichomes shear off at a touch.
Humidity packs at around 62% RH are worth several times their cost on a jar this size. Buy them with the ounce, not after you notice it drying out.
We are a licensed Proposition 64 retailer on Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana, and both Astronauts SKUs here came through licensed California distribution with a lab panel and a batch number.
On a 28g, ask for the packaged-on date before you pay. It is the single most useful number on the label and it is the one nobody volunteers. Flower loses aroma before it loses potency, so a jar can test well and still smoke flat. Any shop should be able to tell you, and if a shop cannot, that is your answer about the shop.
Our prices are out-the-door, so the menu number is the register number. We open at 6AM, we deliver across Orange County, and the live menu reads from our register rather than a third-party feed.
The live menu shows what is physically in the store right now, with out-the-door pricing on every item.
