L.A. Family Farms is the hash hole house on our shelf. Fifteen SKUs, and most of them are infused pre-rolls built around a rosin core.
A hash hole is a pre-roll with a channel of hash running down the middle rather than concentrate mixed through the flower. It burns differently and it is a different thing to smoke, which is why the format has its own name instead of just being called infused.
The range covers full-size hash holes on Gin N’ Juice, Orange Drip x Zamosa, Sakura x Honey Banana, Brain Stew x Lemon Z, Blunts and Tear Gas. Then Mini Hash Holes at 1g, Juniors multi-packs of mini infused pre-rolls, two 7g flower bags, and two straight rosins.
Hash holes cost more than ordinary infused pre-rolls, and the reason is what is in the channel.
Filling the center with rosin means using solventless extract, which is the most expensive category of concentrate to produce. Yields are low, the starting material has to be good enough to press, and no solvent means poor input has nowhere to hide.
Rolling it is also harder. A channel of hash has to be packed evenly or the joint burns crooked, and a crooked hash hole is an obvious and annoying failure.
The honest limitation is potency and pace. These are strong, and the format encourages you to keep going because it burns slowly and tastes good. If your reference point is a normal joint, a full-size hash hole is not a one-sitting product for most people. The Juniors and the 1g minis exist for exactly that reason and are the smarter first purchase.

Start with the Juniors or a 1g mini rather than a full hash hole.
That is not us upselling downward. A full-size hash hole is a long, strong smoke, and if you have not had one the mini tells you whether you like the format for a fraction of the outlay. The 8-pack Juniors are the cheapest way in.
If you already know you like them, the full-size versions are where the better strain pairings live.
On flavor, the Lemon and Drip names run bright and citrus, Tear Gas and Brain Stew run heavier and more savory, and the Sakura and Peach pairings sit sweet. Those describe taste rather than effect, and dose and tolerance do the rest.
Light it evenly and take your time. A hash hole rushed at the start burns unevenly for the whole joint.
These need more care than an ordinary pre-roll because of what is in the middle.
Keep them in the tube or tin, sealed, out of the light and at room temperature. Rosin in the core is temperature-sensitive, and a hash hole left in a hot car can soften and migrate, which ruins the burn.
Do not crush them. A bent hash hole is a wasted hash hole, and there is no fixing the channel once it is deformed.
No fridge. Condensation is bad for the flower and bad for the rosin.
Buy what you will use in a reasonable window. Rosin does not improve with age and is the fastest-degrading thing in the shop.

On anything sold as solventless, including the rosin inside these, the check worth making is the residual solvent line on the panel. It should show none, because none were used. That single line separates a solventless claim from a solventless process, and it works on any brand at any shop.
