PlugPlay is a closed pod system, meaning the pod fits their battery and nothing else.
That design decision is most of why counterfeiting hit this brand so hard. A proprietary pod is a recognizable physical object with a recognizable box, and empty branded PlugPlay packaging is sold openly online in bulk. Anyone can fill a fake pod with anything and put it in a real-looking box.
What is inside a counterfeit is genuinely unknown. It has not been through California testing for pesticides, solvents, heavy metals or anything else. That is not a hypothetical concern with vape hardware, it is the specific reason the licensed system exists.
So the honest guidance on this brand is not about oil quality at all. It is that where you buy it matters more than which strain you pick, and that is true whether you buy it from us in future or from anyone else today.

Buy it from a licensed dispensary. Not a smoke shop, not a delivery service you found on social media, not someone at a party. California runs a public license lookup and it takes under a minute on a phone. Search the license number and match the address to where you are standing.
Then check the product itself. There should be a batch number you can trace and a lab panel you can actually read. Packaging that looks right proves nothing, because the packaging is the part that gets copied first.
If the price is well below what a dispensary charges, that is information rather than a bargain.

Store pods upright at room temperature and out of direct sun. Heat thins the oil and thin oil floods the airway, which is the most common reason a pod starts pulling wet or tasting burnt.
No fridge. Cold oil clogs, and clearing a clog usually means running the coil hot, which costs you flavor for the rest of the pod.
Charge the battery before it runs flat rather than after. On a proprietary system a dead battery means buying that brand’s battery again.
Draw gently at a low setting. A hard hot pull wastes oil and tastes worse.
