The 4oz format is the thing to understand. This is a shot, not a soda. A 100mg dose in four ounces is concentrated, and it is designed to be measured out over several sittings rather than finished like a drink. Uncle Arnies, also on our shelf, puts the same 100mg into 8oz and 12oz bottles, which is a very different drinking experience for the same total dose.
With drinks you are paying for the emulsion more than the cannabis.
Cannabis oil does not dissolve in water. Getting it to sit evenly in a liquid, stay there on the shelf, and taste like the flavor on the label rather than like plant matter is the actual manufacturing problem. Brands that solve it charge for it.
What that buys you is a more predictable onset than a baked edible, because a well-emulsified drink is absorbed differently from something you have to digest. It is still slower than inhaling and it still varies with what you have eaten.

Choose by how you intend to drink it, not by flavor.
If you want to sip something over an evening, buy the 16oz format from another brand on our shelf. If you want a small measured pour you can control, the 4oz shot is the right shape and ST IDES is where it sits.
Start low. Whatever the bottle holds, an unfamiliar drink is a 5mg to 10mg starting point for most people, which is a fraction of one of these. Wait a full two hours before taking more. Drinks can take longer than people expect, and the most common bad experience in this category is redosing too early rather than the product itself.
Read the panel and the total milligrams, and check whether you are looking at milligrams per bottle or per serving. Those are different numbers and the difference matters.
Refrigerate after opening and treat it like any other perishable drink.
Shake before pouring, every time. Emulsions separate on a shelf, and an unshaken bottle can give you a weak pour followed by a much stronger one from the same container. That is the single most common reason a drink lands unevenly across two sittings.
Keep it upright, out of direct sunlight, and away from heat. Light and heat degrade cannabinoids in a liquid faster than in flower.
Use a marked measure rather than free-pouring, and keep it away from anywhere it could be mistaken for an ordinary soft drink. A 4oz bottle in a fridge door looks like a mixer.
